Nucleus, Kentucky’s Life Science and Innovation Center, was established in 2008 by the University of Louisville Foundation to integrate UofL resources with those of the region to transform Louisville into a major life science research hub. Nucleus is assisting in the development of UofL’s Health Science Campus downtown as well as improving the physical and economic health of Kentucky and the region.
Nucleus’ work is integral to the development of the research park currently underway at UofL’s Haymarket 30-block property in downtown Louisville. Nucleus Innovation Park will house multiple facilities in close proximity to expedite collaboration and shared expertise among researchers and companies creating a vibrant technology business district along the city’s healthcare/university/riverfront corridor.
